The Sound of Music Limited Edition blu ray Collector's Set unboxing review blu-ray



Hey guys, I just got this collector's gift set of "Sound of Music Limited Edition blu-ray" from amazon since they were offering $8.00 off, so I got this package for $35.00. Weights over 4 pounds, and measuring 11 ½ by 8 inches, this box is slightly heavy with so many cool things inside. Comes with 4-disc blu-ray, blu-ray bonus, dvd and soundtrack CD. Blu-ray is region FREE. DVD is region 01. Picture quality is phenomenal for a 1965 film, if you enjoy this movie then this is a must have! Fantastic transfer! "The Sound of Music: 45th Anniversary Edition" is presented in 1080p High Definition (Widescreen 2:20:1) 22 MBPS. Since the original 70mm negatives were rescanned at 8k resolution, giving the most detailed copy of the film seen thus far, it literally looks amazing. The grass...you can see the various grains of grass, the strands in green, yellow and detail of the mountains over looking Salzburg. I was amazed! There is so much detail in this latest version of "The Sound of Music", it's incredible! I am literally speechless because I own previous versions of this film on video and never before have I seen this much clarity in the film ever! For audio is has English 7.1 HD master audio as well as regular dolby digital 4.0 and surround 2.0. Also comes with Spanish, French and Portugues Brasil 5.1. If you have a 7.1 setup (center speaker, two fronts, two surrounds, two rear surrounds and your subwoofer), you will definitely be impressed with how alive the music comes as it really sounds beautiful. The hills are definitely alive in this "Sound of Music Limited Edition Collector's Set blu-ray"

Inside this Limited Edition boxset you will find, a really cool Certificate of Authenticity, a hardcover book with 88 pages about the real Von Trap family and scenes of the movie called "A few of Our Favorite Things", a theatrical souvenir book reprint of 1965 with 48 pages, 6 snapshots from Salzburg and a hand-painted music box.

The Sound of Music is a 1965 musical film directed by Robert Wise and starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. The film is based on the Broadway musical The Sound of Music. The musical originated with the book "The Story of the Von Trapp Family Singers" by Maria von Trapp. It contains many popular songs, including "Edelweiss", "My Favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain", "Do-Re-Mi", "Sixteen Going on Seventeen", and "The Lonely Goatherd", as well as the title song. The movie version was filmed on location in Salzburg, Austria, Bavaria in Southern Germany, and at the 20th Century Fox Studios in California. It won five Academy Awards including Best Picture in 1965
